Special Features: This project was a time critical relocation requiring a 2 stage program of requirements. 1st Stage to define overall budget for space and related construction including fit out, furniture, fixture, and equipment (FFE) 2nd Phase to define space layout and FFE according to the tenants needs.
Washington Business Group served as project manager for the Old Post Office project requiring the relocation of 5 federal agencies. Initial tasks included 4 Macro cost analysis for the relocation and a program of requirements. Additional services included macro programming, relocation budgeting, and strategic planning that ensured a quality of space to adequately reflect the agencies requirements in support of their missions. WBG utilized a strategic planning process and developed a balanced scorecard matrix to link the mission’s goals into four domains, (budgetary/financial, business/operational, customer issues, and human capital issues.
Deliverables from this project included; Strategic Macro Program of Requirements defining tenant agencies goals and objectives, macro physical space and technical requirements, and stacking plans, Tenant relocation budget and Master tenant relocation/milestone schedule.
